AI visibility for local businesses

When customers ask AI, are you the answer?

More people now ask ChatGPT or Gemini where to go, instead of scrolling through Google. Echolisted shows you whether they name your business, who they send customers to instead, and then fixes it for you.

Made for owners, not marketers

Most visibility tools are built for agencies juggling dozens of clients. Echolisted is built for the person running the shop.

You should, it’s eye-opening. Our report even has a button for it. But one question on your own phone can mislead you.

AI visibility questions

New to all this? Read how AI picks local businesses.

What is AI visibility?

It’s how often AI assistants name your business when someone asks for a recommendation, like “best barber in Peckham”. We measure it as a score out of 100, weighted by how many people in the UK use each assistant.

Which assistants do you check?

ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude, through their official services with live web search switched on. ChatGPT gets the most weight because about 8 in 10 UK chatbot visits go to it.

Is this the same as Google AI Overviews?

Not quite. AI Overviews are the summaries at the top of some Google searches. They draw on the same signals we work on (your Google profile, reviews and website), so our fixes help there too, but our score measures the assistants people ask directly.

Why do the answers change from day to day?

AI assistants search the web each time and phrase answers differently. That’s why one question tells you very little, and why we run 40 searches in a free check, 150 every month for clients, and track the result over time.

Can you make ChatGPT recommend me?

No one can switch it on. What we can do is fix the things AI reads before it answers: your listings, your reviews, and how clearly your business is described online. Businesses with complete, consistent, well-reviewed listings get recommended far more often.

Do I need a website?

It helps, but it isn’t essential. AI leans heavily on Google and other listings. If you don’t have a site, we write a simple business page that AI and Google can read.
