Terms of service
Last updated 3 November 2026. These terms are between you (the business) and Echolisted (“we”). They’re written to be read. If anything is unclear, email hello@echolisted.com.
1. What we do
We help local businesses get recommended by AI assistants and Google Maps. Depending on your plan, we: check how often AI assistants recommend you; fix and keep up to date your Google Business Profile, other listings and the sites AI reads; publish posts and reply to reviews in your name; and give you a private dashboard and a monthly report. The plans and what’s included are on our pricing page.
2. What we don’t promise, and what we do
Nobody controls what Google or AI assistants show. We promise to do the work described for your plan, carefully and on time, and to report honestly what changed. We don’t promise any ranking, position or number of customers. We are not part of, endorsed by or affiliated with Google, OpenAI, Anthropic or any other platform.
The Echo Promise. If, after 90 days on a paid plan, neither your Echo Score (how often AI assistants recommend you, from our monthly checks) nor your Google Maps position for your main search shows a real improvement, we’ll keep providing your plan free of charge until one of them does, for up to 3 months. A “real improvement” means our statistical change test shows a rise, or your Maps position improves by at least one place, compared with your first check. The promise applies when: your Echo Forecast before you started was “Quick wins likely” or “Reviews first”; you kept our Manager access throughout; and you shared your review link or card with customers as agreed. It’s a promise of free work, not a cash refund, and it doesn’t change your right to cancel at any time.
3. Price, free trial and payment
- You get a 14-day free trial. You add your card when you start, through Stripe; we never see your card number. We begin work once it’s saved.
- Nothing is taken during the trial. If you cancel before it ends, you pay nothing. If you carry on, the first payment is taken when the trial ends.
- After that, you pay the plan price (£29/month for Essentials, £59/month for Growth) every month in advance, until you cancel. Prices shown don’t include VAT unless we’re VAT registered, in which case VAT is added and shown on your invoice.
- Founding Members: while Founding Member places are open, new clients become Founding Members. Your plan price is then fixed for 12 months from your start date, and you don’t pay a setup fee. After that, normal price-change notice applies (below).
- One-off extras (like done-for-you setup) are quoted in writing before we start.
- If we change our prices, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
- Google Business Profile itself is free from Google. You pay us for our work, not for the profile.
4. Cancelling
There’s no contract. Cancel any time from your account (Manage billing) or by emailing us. Cancel during the free trial and nothing is charged. After that, your plan runs to the end of the month you’ve paid for and then stops; we don’t refund part-months.
5. Your Google Business Profile and other accounts
- You always stay the owner of your Google Business Profile and your other accounts. We ask to be added as a Manager only.
- Before we touch your profile, you give us written permission in your setup form, including permission to reply to reviews and publish posts in your name. We keep a copy.
- You can remove our access at any time. If you ask us to, we’ll hand back full control and remove ourselves within 7 business days.
- We follow Google’s rules for third parties. Please also read Google’s guide to working with a third party and our agency notice. We never claim to be Google, never claim guaranteed placement, and never share your data with other clients.
- We never ask for your passwords.
6. Reviews: the rules we both follow
UK law (the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024) bans fake reviews and misleading review practices, and it applies to us and to you. So we will never write, buy or swap reviews, offer anything in return for a review, ask only happy customers, or hide negative reviews. You agree not to ask us to, and not to do these things yourself. We’ll stop work if we’re asked to break these rules.
7. What we need from you
Accurate information about your business (services, prices, hours, address), the photos and access we ask for, and a reply when we have a question. If something about your business changes, tell us and we’ll update it everywhere within 2 working days.
8. Content and posts
We write posts, review replies and listing text based on what you tell us. Replies may be drafted with AI and are checked by a person before they go out. Tell us if you want to approve anything before it’s published. You own the content we create for you. You confirm that photos and information you give us are yours to use.
9. Data
Our privacy policy explains what we collect and why. Where we handle personal data on your behalf (for example, names in reviews, or customer contact details you give us for review requests), we act on your instructions, use it only for that job, keep it safe and confidential, and delete it when the job is done.
We keep an anonymised record of each check we run (the Echo Dataset): the type of business, the area, the scores, and which websites AI read, but never your business name, your customers’ details or anyone’s personal data. We use it to improve our methods and our service, and it may form part of our business if it is ever sold. It is never used to identify you, and we never share your own results with other clients.
10. Liability
We do our work with reasonable care and skill. If something goes wrong because of us, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the problem. We’re not liable for lost profits or for anything Google, AI assistants or other platforms decide. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
11. Ending the service ourselves
We may stop working with you, with notice and a refund of any unused prepaid fees, if we can’t provide the service properly, or straight away if you ask us to break the law or the platforms’ rules.
12. Changes and the law
We may update these terms; we’ll email you about important changes at least 30 days before they apply. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute.
